Официальный курс драхмы по отношению к доллару США устанавливается в виде колеблющегося курса без ограничения пределов его изменений. Ввоз и вывоз национальной валюты ограничивается суммой в 1500 драхм. В денежном обращении находятся банкноты в 50, 100, 500 и 1000 драхм, а также монеты достоинством в 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 драхм, 5, 10, 20 и 50 лепт.
